Four-time champions Brazil made a positive start to their FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Bahamas 2017 campaign with a 4-1 victory over Tahiti in their opening Group D match.

The South American champions had to come from behind to defeat their opponents from Oceania after Patrick Tepa’s fine strike gave Tahiti an early lead.

A brace from Catarino ensured Brazil got off the mark with three points from this opening contest in Nassau.

Tahiti’s next opponent is Japan, who made an impressive start to the campaign with a 9-4 victory over Poland.
