Flying Fijians coach Mick Byrne is dedicated to improving the team’s combinations and communication in preparation for their upcoming game against the All Blacks on July 20th at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, United States.

He has acknowledged the missed opportunities for better ball movement and the chances he lost in turnovers and counter-attacks.

Head coach Mick Byrne has confirmed that the players are free of any major injuries at camp and have only a few minor issues.

Caleb Muntz is recovering well but has not yet joined training. Byrne hopes to maintain the current squad for the Pacific Nations Cup in August.

The growth of the Flying Fijians over the past few years has created more professional depth, and the team needs to focus on themselves.

They will need to be stronger in defence against the All Blacks, limiting their use of the ball and challenging them with the speed of the game they want to play.

The match is part of New Zealand Rugby’s strategy to grow the All Blacks brand on American soil and raise the sport’s profile in the US.

Despite having only three training sessions before the game, the team is fully committed to their new phase of preparation at their new base camp in San Diego.

The Flying Fijians will face the All Blacks at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Snap Dragon Stadium in San Diego.
