The battle for the top spot in the Digicel Fiji Premier League standings continues as Rewa FC edges past Labasa with a 1-0 victory over Tailevu Naitasiri.

Despite being tied at 27 points, Rewa maintains the lead with a superior goal difference of 27, compared to Labasa’s 22.

Rewa FC head coach Rodeck Singh acknowledged the players’ crucial role and emphasized the need for them to step up and score goals, as their performance was vital in reclaiming the top spot in the Digicel Fiji Premier League standings.

He stressed that they cannot afford to miss opportunities, especially with Labasa FC also tied with them in the points table.

Singh reiterated that he has been addressing this issue with the team daily and remains hopeful that the players will work together and improve.

In other DFPL matches, Nasinu FC defeated Ba FC, Lautoka FC edged Nadroga FC, and Navua made an impressive comeback to hold Nadi to a 2-all draw.
