The All Whites have been drawn in pool B in Oceania’s preliminary qualifying draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
They will face Tahiti and Vanuatu in October and November, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semifinals in March.
One-off from Samoa, American Samoa, the Cook Islands, and Tonga will join Group B. Group A features the Solomon Islands, Fiji, New Caledonia, and Papua New Guinea.
This World Cup qualifying campaign is significant for the Oceania region as it is the first time the qualifying winner will be afforded one guaranteed qualification spot.
The All Whites have made two World Cup appearances in their history and have recently struggled to progress from the inter-confederation playoff.
