Sevuloni Mocenacagi, a Navosa-based Men’s 7s forward, has achieved a significant milestone, qualifying for the Olympics after nearly nine years of battle. His achievement is a source of pride for all of us.

His best chance was the Tokyo Games, but his Olympic dreams were shattered in 2021 when he was banned for throwing the ball at the referee.

Mocenacagi, who the Fiji Rugby Union terminated for throwing the ball at the referee, believes he wouldn’t be in France this year if he quit back then.

He is thankful to God for everything that happened, and he is in Paris because of God, even though he missed the Olympics twice.

Mocenacagi believes that some players who didn’t make it to the last Olympics also made it.

The national side will play Uruguay, USA, and France on Thursday and Friday.
