Thomas Dunn, a versatile midfielder and striker, is set to play in this year’s Battle of the Giants in Navua FC.
Dunn returns to his hometown after a two-week trial with Sydney FC in the A-League. He brings vast experience to the team, having played as a substitute in the pre-season friendly against Newcastle Jets and assisted in scoring one goal.
Sydney FC Manager Alex Baumjohann expressed satisfaction with Dunn’s performances and mentality during the trials. However, the A-League rule for only five foreign players allowed clubs to register a maximum of five foreign players, so Dunn’s position is currently unoccupied.
Born on January 19, 2003, Dunn developed a love for football early on and has since excelled as both a midfielder and a striker. He joined Navua FC and debuted in the district team.
Dunn has progressed through the U16, U17, and U20 national teams, earning him a spot in the Digicel Fiji Bula Boys and winning the Player of the Match Award at the OFC Nations Cup.
The team will consider Dunn for future opportunities and monitor his progress.
