Suva FC is considered to be the luckiest team in the 2024 BOG tournament. The team advanced to the semifinals despite scoring only one goal in three pool matches.
They defeated Rewa with a one-nil score in the opening match and had goalless draws against Ba and Nadroga.
Suva FC, previously at risk of relegation from the Premier League, has reached the final four teams in the Battle of the Giants tournament.
Despite criticism for their BOG participation, the team is determined to improve.
Coach Babs Khan, who came back after eight months, believes that the team’s hard work before the tournament has paid off, and they will continue to focus on improvement.
Suva will be facing Nadi in the second semifinal today at the HFC Stadium in Suva.
