The 2024 BOG Final was a nail-biting affair, with Lautoka triumphing in the Battle of the Giants soccer tournament at HFC stadium in Suva.
They overcame Nadi with a 2-0 victory in a match that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
Saula Waqa’s penalty kick in the 66th minute broke Lautoka’s deadlock. In the 80th minute, Sairusi Nalaubu’s goal doubled Lautoka’s lead.
Despite Nadi’s defeat of Lautoka in the pool game, Lautoka came strong in the final and had their final say in the tournament. They secured the win and took the third major soccer tournament trophy to Sugar City.
Lautoka won CVC, Fiji FACT and now BOG.
