In the 2024 Battle of the Giants tournament, Lautoka striker Saula Waqa and Rewa’s John Orobulu scored six goals, making them co-winners of the Golden Boot award.
Waqa scored two goals in the semifinal match against Orobulu, and later added his sixth goal in the final against Nadi, tying with Orobulu.
Waqa was grateful for the award and dedicated it to his wife as a special birthday gift.
The tournament ended with Lautoka defeating Nadi 2-0 to secure the BOG title.
Throughout the games, both players displayed mutual respect and sportsmanship.
