The 2027 Men’s Rugby World Cup in Australia will feature 24 teams worldwide.

Twelve teams have already secured their spots by finishing in the top three of their pools at the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

The remaining spots will be determined through various tournaments and playoffs.

The Rugby Africa Cup 2025 winner will qualify directly in Africa, while the runner-up will enter a play-off with an Asian team.

In Asia, the Asia Rugby Championship 2025 champion will earn a direct qualification, while the runner-up will head to a playoff against an African team.

The Pacific Nations Cup 2025 will see the top three teams, excluding Fiji and Japan, qualify for the World Cup.

The top four teams from the Rugby Europe Championship 2025 will qualify in Europe, while the 5th-placed squad will enter the Final Qualification Tournament.

In South America, the Sudamerica Rugby Championship 2025 champion will secure a spot in the World Cup.
