The suspension comes after a boxing incident between Fiji heavyweight champion James ‘The Beast’ Singh and Semi Dauloloma.

The incident occurred at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, and BCF chairman Adi Narayan deemed it a disgrace to the sport.

Singh is the current heavyweight champion of Fiji, while Dauloloma holds the Leweni Waqa Memorial heavyweight belt. The suspension was made following consultation with the Minister of Sports.

Narayan stated that both boxers would be suspended for the next four months to start a clean and fresh start in 2025.

He also emphasized that if Semi had taken a five-minute break, he would have won the fight. The fight involved tension between Singh and Dauloloma, who were on the canvas during their third fight.

Singh was decked in the first round, while Dauloloma cornered Singh on the ropes, resulting in both falling to the canvas. Singh punched Dauloloma twice on the floor, and the ring officials jumped into the ring to separate them.

The bout was stopped and declared a no-contest.
