The team won its opening match against Manu Samoa 42-16 and is looking to continue its winning run and defend its title as PNC champions.

With the team on BYE this week, Byrne plans to try different combinations, especially in their backline, to improve their basic skills and work as a team.

The team faces Tonga in their next pool match on September 6.

Other PNC matches include Samoa playing Tonga on Friday at 4 pm. USA is playing Canada at 1 pm, and Japan is facing Canada next Saturday.
