The 2024 Battle of the Giants Tournament began with Ba FC securing an impressive 3-1 victory over Nadroga FC at the HFC Stadium in Suva.
Iliasa Nayasi scored the opening goal for Ba in the 17th minute, marking his debut at the tournament, followed by an own goal by Nadroga just three minutes later, increasing Ba’s lead to 2-0.
Rusiate Matarenga scored for Nadroga just before halftime, making it 2-1.
Ba’s victory was sealed when Junior Bula Boys captain Penisoni Tirau scored the third goal in the 58th minute.
Ba FC is scheduled to face Suva FC at 7 p.m. tomorrow, while Nadroga FC will take on Rewa FC at 3 p.m.
