Roy Krishna, the captain of the Fiji football team and a former Wellington Phoenix striker, will continue playing for Odisha FC in the Indian Super League for another season.
Krishna, 36, will enter his sixth season in the ISL after setting a club record for the most goals scored in a single season.

Krishna has been among the top five goal scorers in the ISL since its inception in 2014. He has had a successful career, starting with Fiji club Labasa in 2006 and becoming one of Oceania’s most prolific goal scorers.

He is the most capped player for the Fiji football team, having scored 41 goals in 57 appearances.

After a five-year stint with Waitakere United, during which he scored 65 goals in 75 appearances, Krishna joined Auckland City and eventually earned a professional contract with the Phoenix.

His impact on the Phoenix was undeniable. He scored 65 goals in 122 appearances, and he will no doubt remain a fan favorite, leaving a legacy of appreciation.
