Lautoka Football Association president Shalendra Prasad expressed confidence in the team’s prospects for the upcoming IDC tournament, as they are the hosts.

Nadi coach Raj Dayal attributed his team’s performance to slippery ground conditions and poorly executed ball movements, which impacted their ability to finish well.

Lautoka received $17,000 for their victory, while Nadi collected $5,000. The match remained 0-0 at halftime, with both teams being cautious due to wet conditions.

Lautoka broke the deadlock with a penalty converted by star striker Saula Waqa in the 65th minute, and effectively contained Nadi’s attacks, securing their win.
