Head coach Ilaitia Tuisese expressed concern about the team’s performance after their quarterfinal win over Macuata. The Hillmen are motivated to win the Skipper Cup to celebrate the Naitasiri Rugby Union’s silver jubilee celebration later in the year.

Nadroga, which ended their losing run with an impressive win over Tailevu in the quarterfinals, has strengthened by including Drua players like Taniela Rakuro, Junior Ratuva, Apisalome Vota, and Michael Naitokani.
