The Santa Rosa Rugby Club is mourning the loss of Nasoni (Tony) Tuitoga, 28, who tragically drowned in the Russian River in California after being caught in a whirlpool.
Despite efforts by his friends, he did not resurface, and his body was recovered after a two-day search.
Tuitoga’s mother, Lavenia Cavora Tuinaceva Tuitoga, expressed her deep sorrow for the loss of her son.
The rugby community also paid tribute to Tuitoga on social media, acknowledging his impact on the club.
During this difficult time, the club conveyed their heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family and loved ones.
Tuitoga is survived by his parents and two older brothers, Mikaele and Alipate Tuitoga.
