The Fijian rugby community mourns the loss of Sekove Tagicakiverata, a promising player who was studying at Nihon University in Tokyo, Japan.

Tagicakiverata, a former Marist Brothers High School student, played as a utility back for Eastern Saints and Covenant Brothers in the Suva Rugby Union club competition.

He was known as a hardworking and humorous individual with a promising future in rugby.

Tagicakiverata was also involved in officer cadet training in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.

The cause of his death is yet to be determined. Sevens maestro Waisale Serevi expressed his gratitude to God for His plans being better than ours.
