Fiji’s Men’s 7s team aims to clinch its third consecutive Olympic Games title. The team has been training in France for the upcoming competition, which starts at the end of this month.
Since the 2016 Rio Olympics, Fiji has been the only team to have won gold in the 7s rugby game. The Ben Ryan-coached side defeated Great Britain 43-7 in the final.
In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, the Gareth Baber-coached team beat New Zealand 27-12, securing the country’s second Olympic gold medal.
In a tough pool for this year’s competition, Fiji will face host France, the USA, and Uruguay.
The Men’s Olympic 7s competition is scheduled to take place from the 25th to the 28th.
