Jerry Tuwai, a two-time Olympic gold medallist, has been selected for the 20-member squad for the upcoming Paris Olympic Games.
The 35-year-old is confident in the Fiji Men’s 7s side’s cohesion and ability to adapt to team changes.
Tuwai anticipates that Fiji will be the team to beat, given their back-to-back gold medals in the Olympics 7s competition. Fiji faces a challenging pool in the Paris Olympics, consisting of hosts France, the USA, and Uruguay.
The Olympic 7s will run from July 25th to 31st, 2024. The team’s winning style of rugby was evident during the HSBC Madrid 7s, and they are working on a strong game plan for the Olympics.
