Fiji Airways Men’s 7s legend Jerry Tuwai will receive a $33,300 reward as part of his incentive before the National 7s team heads to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Tuwai, a double Olympic gold medal winner, led the team to their second Olympic Games gold medal in Tokyo in 2020 and is the sole rugby player to have won two Olympic gold medals.
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka will announce the team’s incentives as soon as the team is selected. As part of previous incentives, the Fijian government has already purchased a residential lot for the national team captain.
The Fiji Men’s 7s team is leaving no stone unturned in its preparation for the Olympics. Next week, it will host the Australian 7s team for four intense scrimmaging sessions, a testament to its dedication and hard work.
