The All Blacks 7s are diligently preparing for a more challenging Paris Olympics 7s competition than previous Olympic tournaments. The competitive nature of the HSBC World Sevens Series over the past two years has only added to their anticipation.
Andrew Knewstubb, a utility back for the All Blacks 7s, believes the competition will be tight and bring out the best in every team.
Knewstubb, who was part of the NZ 7s team that won silver at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, is excited to be in Paris and is well-prepared for the competition.
New Zealand will face Japan in its first pool match, South Africa in its second, and Ireland in its final pool match.
The Men’s quarter-finals will kick off at 7 am Friday, with a break for the official opening of the Paris Olympics 2024 on Saturday.
The semi-finals will begin at 1.30 am Sunday, and the final will be at 5.45 am Sunday.
