The All Blacks’ first win was overshadowed by the team’s move to Auckland. Assistant coach Jason Holland is considering making personnel changes for the second Test against England.

Holland and the other coaches are looking for ways to break through England’s tight defence that troubled the All Blacks in Dunedin.

Although the team initially showed promise with two tries in the first half, they struggled to maintain their momentum after halftime.

The pack performed well, except for some issues with attacking lineouts. The scrum, in particular, was a strength. The All Blacks may change the loose forwards, possibly replacing Samipeni Finau. Adjustments to the backline might also be considered, especially in the midfield.

Holland acknowledged the importance of continuity but emphasized the need for improvement, particularly in handling England’s kicking game.

He highlighted the lack of strike plays in the first phase, an area he is responsible for. With TJ Perenara sidelined due to injury, it’s unlikely that the selectors will pair Finlay Christie with a new playmaker, meaning Damian McKenzie is expected to continue in his role.
