Lock Alex Coles has emphasized the significance of England’s upcoming match against the All Blacks. He stated that England will not be daunted by New Zealand’s record at Eden Park as they prepare for the crucial second Test in Auckland on Saturday.

The All Blacks have maintained an unbeaten record at their spiritual home, Eden Park, for 30 years, a remarkable run of 49 matches.

However, England has the opportunity to make history by breaking this streak. They need a win to level the two-match series after a narrow loss in the opener in Dunedin.

According to Coles, the All Blacks’ record is not affecting their preparation too much, and they will focus on improving their game plan.

Coles, who came on as a second-half replacement in Otago, said it felt like a “proper Test match” with such fine margins and two teams hammering and tonging at it. He said that it was awesome for him to play against the All Blacks in New Zealand and that there was no quick fix.

England led 15-10 at the Forsyth Barr Stadium before two Damian McKenzie penalties denied the visitors a first win in New Zealand since 2003.

Coles said there was no underlying issue that let them down, but a few things here and there. He believes that this weekend is the final push in a memorable season, and he would love to cap it off by playing this weekend.
