Muslim schools are upping security measures in the wake of the mosque shootings.
Auckland’s Al-Madinah School is the country’s largest Muslim school, with a role of up to 550 students.
Principal Asin Ali says they’ve had discussions with parents, Police and the Ministry of Education about keeping students safe.
There have been armed police guarding the school this week.
Asin Ali says despite everything, the school community is feeling safe due to the amount of support that’s been shown by New Zealanders around the country.
