Head administrator Voreqe Bainimarama says $236.2 million has been paid under the Fiji National Provident Fund COVID-19 Relief Assistance program.

Bainimarama featured this while talking on Radio Fiji One’s Noda Paraiminisita program, saying from this sum, the public authority has paid out $118.3 million as a top-up.

He says this has surpassed the sum taken out by FNPF individuals from their overall records.

He says $117.9 million was taken out by individuals who are getting help from their overall records.

The PM adds that more than 100,000 Fijians have profited by the program.

“We as a whole know there are various records in the FNPF. What we have done is open a portion of these records aside from the hold record to help those needing monetary help during these troublesome occasions.”

Bainimarama says the public authority knows that some broad records presently have zero equilibrium yet they keep on helping them.

“We know that a few individuals’ records have dried out and we need to console them they will keep on accepting through the public authority top-up. So the public authority is working intimately with different partners to recognize Fijians who will require help.”

The Prime Minister says since sums in individuals’ records keep on diminishing, government top-up is required to increment further.
