Updated: 6:22am – A 65-year-old man has been found guilty of raping his 6-year-old grandnephew by all the three assessors before High Court Judge Justice Riyaz Hamza yesterday.
The man had pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The alleged incident occurred on the 20th of December 2016.
The boy’s mother had sent him to get water for her cooking and the accused had met the boy at the tap which was situated a few metres away from their home.
A witness had seen the incident and told the boy’s mother.
The judge will deliver his ruling at 2pm Thursday.
