A Browns Bay gym on Auckland’s North Shore closed after infected person visits

In a post on Facebook, the exercise center stated: “We have been in direct contact with Auckland Regional Public Health Service on Thursday 22nd October and they have affirmed that one of the ongoing network instances of COVID-19 had gone to Snap Fitness Browns Bay while irresistible (however not suggestive) on Saturday October seventeenth.

“While general wellbeing doesn’t expect us to close the office as we have been classed as okay, we have settled on the choice to close Snap Fitness Browns Bay taking effect right now at 1pm October 22nd and at this stage we will re-open 12.00pm (noontime) on Saturday 24th October.

“We have worked intimately with Public Health to distinguish each and every individual who was at the exercise center around the same time as the case, Saturday seventeenth October, and who went to the 28 Day Challenge training camp at Browns Bay sea shore with the individual on this day. General Health will be in contact with these individuals with counsel on following stages.”

It comes after an individual who tried positive for Covid-19 visited The Malt bar in Greenhithe which is additionally on the North Shore.
