De Grandhomme needs a medical procedure on an anke injury which has disturbed since the beginning of the period and restricted his playing time.

Following a medical procedure he’ll require a month and a half of rest before he can get back to running and an additional fourteen days before he can continue bowling.

Dark Caps mentor Gary Stead said de Grandhomme stayed a tremendously significant piece of the side.

“It’s too soon to say how could affect our Test visit to England in late May and June, yet we’re confident after medical procedure and recovery he will be an opportunity to make the crew,” he said.

“We’ve all been gutted for Colin missing this worldwide summer through injury,” he said.

“His commitments to the Black Caps in the previous few years have been exceptional across every one of the three organizations and he’s been an immense piece of our group.

“His abilities with the ball, power with the bat and getting in the field make him one of the head all-rounders on the planet as we’re normally anxious to see him get the injury right and opened up for us once more,” said Stead.
