Updated: 7:55am – Bail has been denied for a former head teacher of a primary school in Naitasiri charged with multiple sexual offences.
42‑year‑old Ratu Ravuama Vunivalu Vuibau appeared before Judge Justice Riyaz Hamza yesterday.
Justice Hamza says that Vuibau is charged with a serious offence against his students.

Vuibau is charged with one count of rape and sexual assault, three counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecently annoying any person.
The victims are aged between 12 and 14 years and it is alleged that Vuibau had committed the offences sometime between the beginning of the school term until early September this year.
