Fiji Bati, Australia, NZ and England suffer injury concerns in RLWC

Updated: 5:50am – The Vodafone Fiji Bati, Australia, New Zealand and England have all suffered major injury concerns going into the second round of pool games at the Rugby League World Cup.

Fiji has lost Kane Evans due to a broken wrist and a decision on who will replace him will be known later this week.

Australia have lost impressive youngster Jake Trbojevic and he is likely to miss the pre-season with Manly Sea Eagles as well.

Gerard Beale is the casualty for New Zealand as he suffered an ankle injury against Samoa.

England’s Sam Burgess is out for at least two weeks after he picked up a knee ligament injury against Australia.

Meanwhile, the Bati will play Wales at 9.30pm Sunday, Australia will play France at 9pm Friday, New Zealand will face Scotland at 4pm Saturday while England plays Lebanon at 9pm Saturday.
