UPDATED: 10:11am – Over 140 businesses from Suva, Sigatoka, Nasinu, Nausori, Nadi and Lautoka were present at the Fiji Budget Focus at the Grand Pacific Hotel today.
President of the Fiji Chamber of Commerce Peter Mazey says it is important to get a better understanding on issues that impact businesses around the country.

Mazey says an important issue regarding the security of businesses was raised in the Forum which was addressed by Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho.
He says other issues included employment contracts and long waiting period for trying to get land approvals. The Fiji Chamber of Commerce organizes the Fiji Budget Focus every year after the National Budget announcement.
