The 48 year elderly person went from Jakarta Indonesia on bringing home flight GA 9820, which initially withdrew from New Delhi India, with stops in Jakarta and Port Moresby, prior to showing up in Nadi on January 27th.

He tried positive during routine testing while at the same time going through required 14-day isolate in the public authority assigned boundary isolate office in Nadi.

He was moved to the separation ward at the Lautoka Hospital as per the standard convention for COVID-19 cases.

The Health Ministry says the forefront line isolate staff that may have had any contact with the case observed the standard contamination counteraction and control conventions. They will be observed and tried as a safety measure as per the conventions.

Then, a 25-year-elderly person in boundary isolate has restored a powerless positive test result during routine leave testing. She had gone from Dublin Ireland, showing up in Nadi on flight MH8790 from Kuala Lumpur on January twentieth.

She had tried positive and was affirmed as a COVID-19 case in Ireland in October 2020. She tried negative in resulting tests after recuperation, including a pre-takeoff test prior to showing up in Fiji, and during day 3 line isolate testing. She right now has no manifestations.

The Health Ministry says it is realized that non-irresistible parts of the infection can stay distinguishable, and cause a positive test outcome long after the disease has passed, and even after past antagonistic test outcomes; consequently it is far-fetched that this individual is presently irresistible.

They say because of the test outcomes, and history of testing positive in Ireland, this is viewed as an authentic case, and isn’t considered another case for Fiji. In any case, as an insurance, she has been moved to the separation ward at Lautoka Hospital as per the standard convention for COVID-19 cases.

Fiji has now had 56 cases altogether, with 1 dynamic case, 53 recuperations and 2 passings, since our first case was accounted for on March nineteenth 2020. The last 38 cases have been worldwide travel related cases distinguished in line isolate. It has been 291 days since the last case was recognized external line isolate on April eighteenth 2020.

A sum of 26,510 research center tests have been directed, with a day by day normal of 154 tests each day in the course of the most recent 7 days, and a week after week normal of 1179 tests throughout the most recent fourteen days.
