Fiji: History favors Fiji 7s over Canada

The Vodafone Fiji 7s side will want to continue with its good record against Canada when the two teams meet in the Cup quarter-final of the Hong Kong tournament.

The two teams have met 45 times, with Fiji winning 43 times while the Canadians have upset us a couple of times. The two sides last met in Dubai last year where Fiji escaped with a 26-19 win in the pool stages.

The last time Fiji lost to Canada was at the 2013 Wellington tournament where Fiji lost the Bowl final 28-19.

Fiji takes on Canada in the second quarter-final at 3.20 pm today.

In other Cup quarters, Australia meets Argentina at 2.58pm, USA takes on England at 3.42pm while South Africa battles New Zealand at 4.06pm.

The Cup semi-finals start at 7.31pm and the Cup final is scheduled for 11pm.
