The Lautoka football side will be out to win its second Pillay’s Garments Champion versus Champion title this weekend.

The Blues have only once, in 2009, achieved this feat.

Team President Abdul Kadar says that although they have the advantage of playing at home, beating the traditional champions Ba will not be easy.

“The players have been preparing well. We have a team with some youth players while Ba are the traditional champions. We are playing at home and if things go alright then we should lift the CVC title after eight years.”

Ba has won the title a record 16 times.

The first leg will be played at Churchill Park at 7pm on Friday while the teams meet again in the second leg at 3pm on Sunday at the same venue.

You can catch a live commentary of both the matches on Radio Fiji Two with the voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart.
