Lawyer General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has revealed to The Australian Financial Review Fiji’s prosperity should “burst” the two-nation bubble.

Sayed-Khaiyum says with no new cases in about two months, Fiji merits better than inferior thought in a provincial travel game plan.

He says this pandemic has left our travel industry deadened.

Sayed-Khaiyum says in light of a legitimate concern for the a huge number of Fijians who are presently jobless, we are effectively investigating every possible alternative, and are available to imaginative thoughts – including a state-drove resumption of movement among Australia and Fiji.

He says if a small amount of the 10 million Australians who travel abroad every year came to Fiji in 2020, the nearby economy could be immediately resuscitated.
