Fijians who study at various Australian universities under the Australian awards program are considered as high performers.
Australian High Commissioner to Fiji John Feakes is very pleased with meritorious results achieved by Fijian students at the end of each term.
Feakes has also confirmed that through the ‘Vuvale Partnership’, the Australian government will continue to support Fiji’s quest in building a knowledge based society through capacity building.
“We are very pleased to see that Fijian students are amongst best performers at Australian universities and the region. Well they do very well, they are hardworking, they study hard and they get good results”
Meanwhile, an Australian Awards scholarship centre was opened yesterday to provide first-hand information to potential Fijians who wishes to apply for scholarships.
The scholarship programme has supported over 700 Fijians since its inception in 2007.
