Previous Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase has died.
FBC News has been educated by relatives that Qarase was conceded a week ago at the Oceania Private Hospital in Suva following a short disease and has spent away at the beginning of today.

Qarase filled in as the 6th Prime Minister of the nation from 2000 to 2006.
He is initially from Mavana, Vanua Balavu, in Lau.
