Updated: 6:15am – A 45‑year‑old man charged with allegedly raping a 13‑year‑old girl in the toilet of a church in Lami last year, appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court yesterday.
The case was called yesterday before Chief Magistrate Usaia Ratuvili to check on the psychiatric report of the accused.

Atunaisa Wakana is charged with one count of rape.
The accused and the victim are not related.
This offence happened in November last year but was only reported to Police at the beginning of this year.
Wakana has been remanded in custody and the case will be called on 30th of this month.
