One house has been totally annihilated and another harmed after a huge fire in Christchurch spread to a neighboring property.
Fire teams were called to the fire on Rawson St, New Brighton, about 1.45am on Monday to discover a house “very much required” in fire, a Fire and Emergency New Zealand representative said.

The fire “woke the entire road up” and caused generous harm, before spreading to a neighboring house, the representative said.
Nobody was harmed in the flames, she said.
A scene monitor was at the property on Monday morning.
