UPDATED: 7:49am – A taxi driver has been questioned for his alleged involvement in the death of 30-year-old, Ashish Jattan of Valelevu last Saturday.

Police say the suspect whilst driving his vehicle is alleged to have suddenly changed lanes near the FNU bus stop to pick a passenger when Jattan who was riding a motorbike hit the back of the vehicle.

The driver was taken in for questioning yesterday after some witnesses came forward with information.

Ashish Jattan was laid to rest yesterday.

About 30 bikers escorted the cortege from his home at Visako Circle in Nadera to Dignified Cremations in Davuilevu.

Accompanying the group was Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism Faiyaz Koya.
