Nadroga Head Coach Ramesh Sharma has focused on that players should keep up their control when under tension.
This comes after the episode that happened during the Digicel Premier League match yesterday among Ba and Nadroga, where Isikeli Sevanaia asserted he was fouled by Ba’s Abbu Zahid.
Ba was driving 1-0 heading into the last quarter of the match at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka when Sevanaia and Zahid traded a couple of words before the youthful goalkeeper head-butted the veteran Ba player.
Sharma says his player was incited.
“There was allurement from the other person. All through the match, he was offering remarks at the goalkeeper, and lamentably, he just couldn’t deal with the pressing factor.”
Ba mentor Kamal Swamy says his player’s control was unblemished.
“Our players were highly focused today and tragically we had the episode yet the refs’ choice was conclusive.”
In different matches, Suva crushed Navua 1-nil and Nadi outmatched Lautoka 2-nil.
