Sovereign Victoria School will field just its Under-19 group for the Fiji Secondary School Rugby League Vodafone Trophy.

With numerous understudies attempting to return to class after the new typhoons and the short planning time for the opposition, the school has chosen to zero in its assets on the U19 grade as it were.

U19 group skipper Jonetani Kaukimoce says the objective for this season will be fundamental to safeguarding its title in the principle grade as the U15 and 17 will pass up the opposition.

“We will not be partaking in the under15 and 17, we’ll simply be safeguarding our Under-19. Above all else we might want to simply straighten out on our guard and simply review our assaulting drills.”

The Matavatucou young men are the current U19 title champions in the wake of crushing Ratu Navula 20-19 in the 2019 finals.

QVS knows holding the Trophy this season will be harder as all groups will be out to vanquish them..

The first round of the six-week rivalry will commence on Saturday.

They will meet Nasinu Panthers at 4.10pm at the St Marcellin Primary School ground.
