Leader Voreqe Bainimarama says there are no migration issues with the University of the South Pacific employing ostracizes.
Bainimarama was reacting to claims that one reason USP employed Dr Rajni Chand as Director Flexible Learning is a result of the Immigration Department.
“It was a sorry excuse of legitimization of Biman’s significant other’s arrangement. Eventually, he said she must be given that post on the grounds that the movement wouldn’t permit any other individual from outside. That is a joke, half of the college’s educators are ostracizes so is there any valid reason why we wouldn’t permit anybody from outside to come.”
Dr Chand is the spouse of Opposition MP Professor Biman Prasad and Bainimarama charges she got the advancement on the grounds that Prasad has close connections to previous head of USP Professor Pal Ahluwalia.
The NFP Leader has denied any untrustworthy dealings.
“She is an exceptionally qualified and commendable lady in her own right. By and by, I am extremely glad for her and her scholarly accomplishments. Dr Rajni Chand has consistently put stock in and advanced meritocracy and she has procured her arrangement on legitimacy.”
Previous USP Vice-Chancellor, Professor Pal Ahluwalia has declined to remarks on charges from the Prime Minister.
