Updated: 6:52am – More than 20 members of the public called police about fighting and disorder in a Papamoa street last night.
Police said one person may have been hit by a vehicle as the violence broke out in Lyn Grove.

Calls started coming into police around 8.45pm.
There were several vehicles present and at least one was impounded.
Cordons were put in place at the street on Papamoa Beach, east of Tauranga. Police reopened the road about 9.40pm.
An ambulance was also on the scene, but the extent of any injuries hasn’t been confirmed.
