Updated: 10:00am – Ratu Joeli Kalounivalu, 78, who holds the title of Koya Mai Navunisole in Tailevu North, said Fiji needs a caring leader like Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.

“Bainimarama cares for all Fijians,” he said.

He said past leaders only cared for their own group.

Mr Bainimarama, he said, was someone who had brought his level down to all groups.

When asked about the Governments developments in his district he said they now got water, better roads, electricity, health centres and access to quality education.

He said gone were the days when they had to walk for miles to their villages as now they are dropped off by a carrier, taxi or bus right at their doorstep.

The people could feel the Government cared for them.

When asked about the upcoming General Election, he said, their close relative Pio Tikoduadua was contesting for the National Federation Party but they would vote for a leader that cared for them.

He said Fiji needed a Government that would protect iTaukei people and all Fijians.
