Updated: 6:38am – A thirty-year old man has been charged with one count of attempted rape for allegedly trying to rape an eight-year old girl in Savusavu on Monday.
The girl was allegedly approached by the man behind a supermarket in Savusavu town where he attempted to rape her in broad daylight.

Police say they will also launch an investigation to find out why the student was allowed to walk to the supermarket without adult supervision.
Investigations continue.
