Rewa turns focus to VPL | NZ FIJI TIMES

Update: 6:14am – The Rewa football side is aware of the importance of its two matches in the Vodafone Premier League competition this week.

The Delta Tigers play Dreketi and Labasa in the North and team President, Nazeel Buksh says, this could decide their fate in the competition this season.

“It is similar to last year. This was the turning point of our season. National League has been our aim and we want to win it and qualify for the Champions League.”

Team Rewa FC

The reds defeated Labasa 3-1 and Dreketi 1-nil in their trip to the north last year which saw them finish second in the competition and qualify to the Champions League for the first time.

Rewa plays Dreketi at 3.30pm on Saturday at Labasa’s Subrail Park before which Labasa takes on Suva at 1.30pm. At the same venue on Sunday, Dreketi plays Suva at 1.30pm after which Labasa battles Rewa at 3.30pm.
