Updated: 6:42am – A body found washed up on a Christchurch beach has been confirmed as that of a teenager who disappeared while swimming in rough conditions a week earlier.
The body of Jack Sutton, 14, was found by a jogger on Sumner Beach early on Monday.

Police say formal identification has been completed and the matter has been referred to the coroner.
Mr Sutton, from Linwood, disappeared on February 5 while swimming off Scarborough Beach.
