A young basketball player aims to continue her family legacy

Sixteen-year-old Ranadi Koroi who is the girl of previous public men’s mentor, Saula Koroi is essential for the under-19 Lions Team at the Kam Pacific Basketball Championship.

Koroi says ball runs in the family starting from her grandparents, guardians and more seasoned kin.

The Lomaiviti young lady is wanting to be similarly as dexterous as them.

The Suva Grammar School understudy spoke to the public under-15 side in the Oceania Games in 2018 and after a long break, Ranadi says she is prepared to hop once more into the court.

“It’s feels acceptable having the chance to play back with the young ladies after a long break from b-ball because of COVID-19 and I’m simply energized.”

Koroi adds there is considerably more work to do as the ball season starts.

“I need to improve in my abilities, my shooting and furthermore in some collaboration with my groups and furthermore becoming more acquainted with different players.”

Koroi plays for the under-19 Lions Club, a group comprised of SGS players.

Then in the under-15 young men grade, Dragons vanquished Victorian Knights 32-17, BF U14 Academy beat Dragons 2 18-6, and Marist Reds beat Wolves 22-9.

In the young ladies division Kia Kaha Blues whipped Wolves 18-8 and Mystics edged Dragons 2 13-8.

In the Under 17 young ladies grade Lions pounded Dragons 33-17 and in the young men division Dragons whipped Victorian Knights 33-14.
